The Du Cane Range is located in the southern reaches of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. It is most easily accessed via the ferry service to the north end of Lake St Clair, followed by a 3 to 4-hour walk via the Pine Valley. Another option is as a side trip from Windy Ridge on the world-famous Overland Track. Either way, the dramatic dolerite-spiked landscapes and 360-degree views are truly breathtaking. (Not to mention the night skies when the weather is clear!)
