The beautiful northern lights (aurora borealis) glitter above a cozy cabin in a remote part of Northern Sweden just above the arctic circle. I think the temperature this night was somewhere around -20 Fahrenheit. It is was incredibly difficult to stay out there and shoot this, as all the comforts of that warm cabin were calling my name. I was even surprised my Canon 5D Mark III was able to operate at such low temperatures. However, if you've ever seen the northern lights you know all too well that there's nothing going to stop you from going outside and gazing up into the sky. Forget the bitter cold, the Northern Lights are shining!
